BEHIND THE BRAND

Periods have always been a taboo subject in our society. Women themselves are not open to discuss their periods and the problems that come along with them. People being unaware of its nuances only worsens the situation.

My periods used to be a wholly unpleasant experience. I was worried about rashes, irritation, and discomfort whenever I used commercially made sanitary napkins. It made my menstruating days very difficult and stressful. 

It took me time to understand that menstruation in itself is a beautiful process. And going through unpleasant experiences attached to it could be avoided altogether. This thought bloomed into a year-long analysis and research about sanitary pads and their usage. The goal was to develop and provide products that ensure a safe and comfortable menstrual experience for women. One year after earning a bachelor's degree from PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore, I started @happygo_pad to realize the goal. 

I want every woman to experience 'happy periods!'. And stress caused by inefficient pads shouldn't be a problem of concern.
